| Beschrijving keerzijde | A radiate horseman, identified with a solar or heroic divinity, rides vigorously to the right, carrying a double axe (labrys) over his shoulder — an iconographic element strongly associated with Lydian religious tradition. Before the horse stands a tall cypress tree, a symbol of funerary and sacred significance in Asia Minor cult practice. Beneath the horse's raised foreleg, a small lighted altar is depicted. The reverse field is framed by the civic magistrate legend naming the strategos Aurelius Zeuxis, son of Ploutiades, distributed around the periphery. |
