| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped bust of Empress Salonina facing right, wearing a diadem, presented in the provincial Greek style typical of the Mysian mint at Apollonia ad Rhyndacum. The effigy displays the characteristic layered drapery of mid-third century imperial portraiture. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΚΟΡΝ ϹΑΛΩΝΙΝΑ ϹΕ, identifying the empress by her abbreviated name and title. The flan is irregular and shows the characteristic broad, slightly uneven fabric of a provincially struck bronze. |
