| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, a presentation typical of the Severan provincial coinage tradition. The emperor's effigy displays a laurel wreath crowning the head, with drapery over the left shoulder and visible cuirass detailing. The encircling Latin legend runs along the outer field of the flan. The portrait style reflects the local workshop conventions of the Troad region under the Severan dynasty. |
