| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of the emperor Caracalla facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the front, with finely detailed curled hair beneath the laurel wreath and paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The Latin legend encircles the effigy along the border. The coin bears a suspension hole pierced at the top of the flan, indicating later secondary use as a pendant or amulet. |

| Reverse description | Complex civic reverse composition of Alexandria Troas: at left, the cult statue of Apollo Smintheus stands atop a short column, facing right, holding a patera in his extended right hand and a bow in his left; at right, a male figure identified as Alexander (the Great), standing left, holds a patera and a long sceptre; between the two figures, a lighted tripod entwined by a serpent rises from the ground; above the scene, an eagle flies to the right, clutching a bucranium in its talons. The colonial legend is distributed around the field. |
