Obverse description Draped bust of Livia, wife of Augustus, facing right, depicted with a simple hairstyle and wearing a plain garment rendered in a restrained Hellenistic provincial style. The portrait is rendered in low relief typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the early Imperial period. The Greek legend ΛΙΟΥΙΑ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΥ encircles the bust, identifying her as Livia, (wife) of Augustus.
