| 背面描述 | Nike, the winged goddess of victory, standing left in full figure, her wings spread behind her. She holds a wreath in her extended right hand and a long palm branch in her left hand, both attributes symbolic of triumph and imperial victory. The regnal date appears in the field, divided to either side of the figure. The composition reflects the standard iconographic type employed on Alexandrian bronze issues under Augustus. |

Augustus's Egyptian coinage operated entirely outside the Roman provincial norm — Egypt was administered as the emperor's personal property, not a senatorial province, and its local bronze issues were struck by a prefect answerable only to the emperor himself. The regnal year system used on Alexandrian bronzes, rather than Roman consular dating, reflects this deliberately isolated monetary administration. No senator was legally permitted to enter Egypt without imperial permission.
