| Reverse description | Standing figure of Elpis, the personification of Hope, facing left in full-length draped attire, raising a flower in her extended right hand in the characteristic iconographic pose. The composition occupies the central field, with the regnal date L ΙΖ (Year 17 of Antoninus Pius, corresponding to 153–154 AD) inscribed in the field. The surfaces exhibit a rough green and brown patina consistent with extended burial, with the flan showing typical irregular edges of Alexandrian provincial bronze coinage. |
