Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The effigy presents the emperor with characteristic full beard and curled hair rendered in the Antonine style. A Greek imperial legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular strike. The portrait is boldly modelled in high relief, consistent with Alexandrian provincial coinage of the period.
