| Reverse description | A youthful river-god, identified as Kilbos, reclines to the left in the classical manner. He holds a long reed in his extended hand and a cornucopia in his other arm, while resting his elbow upon an overturned water-urn from which water flows, symbolising the river's source. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition common to provincial coinages of Asia Minor. The Greek legend ΚΙΛΒoc ΚΙΛΒΙ ΤΩΝ ΑΝΩ encircles the type, denoting Kilbos and the community of the Upper Cilbians. |
