Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with a short beard rendered in the provincial Syrian style. The effigy is depicted with characteristic realism of Antonine portraiture, showing the emperor's features in right-facing profile. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust reading ΑΥΤΟ ΚΑΙ ΤΙ ΑΙΛ ΑΔΡΙ ΑΝΤωΝΕΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹΕ, proclaiming his full imperial titulature. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of provincial bronze coinage from Commagene. The field shows natural patination consistent with the bronze fabric of the issue.
