Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, depicted with characteristic beard and idealized imperial portraiture typical of Antonine-period provincial coinage. The circular Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The surface shows the characteristic patina and irregular flan shape common to locally struck provincial bronzes of the Achaean region.
