| Beschrijving keerzijde | The lunar deity Mên shown standing to the left, wearing his characteristic Phrygian cap, his figure rendered in the conventional provincial style. He holds a patera in his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre in his left, the standard attributes of the god as worshipped in Asia Minor. A crescent is displayed behind his shoulders, the emblematic symbol most closely associated with Mên. The reverse legend ΑΓΡΕΥϹ ΑΡΧΙΕΡΑΤΕ ΑΝΕΘΗΚΕΝ records the dedication by the archpriest Agreus. |
