The portrait is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Carian civic bronzes of the Antonine period, with bold, slightly rough modelling. The reverse legend, naming the magistrate Attalos archiatros, is disposed around the figure in the field. The overall composition reflects the widespread diffusion of the Ephesian Artemis cult type across the cities of Asia Minor during the Imperial period. |
