| Obverse description | Draped bust of a deity facing right, wearing a radiate or spiked crown, depicted in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Olbian coinage of the 1st century AD. The portrait is rendered in moderately high relief against a plain field. The partially legible Greek legend OΛBIOПОΛEI encircles the bust, distributed across the upper and lower periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and somewhat roughly struck, consistent with the hammered bronze coinage of this Black Sea region. |
