Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Saloninus Caesar facing right, depicted frontally with military attire rendered in the provincial Greek style. The effigy shows the young prince with youthful features, the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and the cuirass visible below. The encircling legend proclaims the triple neocorate status of Pergamum, emphasizing the city's prestige as a thrice-honoured centre of the imperial cult.
