| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Volusian facing right, depicted from the rear, with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and segmented armour visible. The imperial effigy is rendered in the typical provincial style of the mid-third century. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP VIBI AFI VOLVSSIAN, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The flan is slightly irregular, characteristic of provincial Æ coinage of the period. |
