Obverse description Radiate, cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan Decius facing left, depicted frontally, bearing a spear in his right hand and a shield adorned with a gorgoneion on his left arm. The effigy is rendered in the imperial military style characteristic of mid-third-century provincial bronze coinage. The encircling legend runs around the bust in Greek characters.
