Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander facing right, depicted from behind in the characteristic three-quarter rear view. The imperial effigy shows the emperor in military attire, with the laurel wreath and paludamentum clearly rendered. The Greek legend is disposed around the bust in the field, reading from upper left to right. The flan is slightly irregular, typical of provincial bronze coinage from Asia Minor during the Severan period.
