Obverse description Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and drawn back into a bun in the typical Severan fashion. The effigy is rendered in moderate relief, with visible drapery folds at the truncation of the bust. The encircling Greek legend reads ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ around the field. A post-antique suspension hole is pierced at the top of the flan.

Reverse description A tetrastyle temple depicted in frontal elevation, its four columns supporting a pediment with acroteria; within the intercolumniation a lighted altar is prominently placed at centre. The structure rests upon a stepped podium (krepidoma) rendered in horizontal lines. Flanking elements suggest palm branches or decorative filling motifs in the field. The reverse legend ΥΠΑΙΠΗΝΩΝ curves around the upper periphery within a dotted border, identifying the civic issuing authority of Hypaepa. A post-antique suspension hole is pierced at the base of the flan.
