Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Caracalla facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. The effigy displays the characteristic youthful portraiture associated with Caracalla as Caesar or early Augustus, rendered in the provincial style of Bithynian mint engravers. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field, partially legible on this heavily worn specimen. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, typical of provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period.
