| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her characteristic wavy hair elaborately coiffed and swept back in the Severan court style. The empress is depicted with visible drapery folds across the shoulder and chest. A Greek legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, identifying her as Augusta. The portrait displays the idealized sculptural quality typical of Phrygian provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. |
