| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus facing right, rendered from a rear three-quarter perspective, conveying the emperor's military authority. The portrait follows the conventional provincial workshop style of the Severan period, with the laurel wreath and paludamentum clearly distinguishable despite surface wear. A partial Greek legend appears in the field referencing Geta as Caesar, indicating a joint reign issue. The flan is irregular, typical of provincial bronze coinage struck at Priene during the late 2nd to early 3rd century AD. |
