| Beschrijving keerzijde | Dionysus, god of wine, depicted standing facing with head turned to the left, clad in a long chiton falling to his feet. His left arm rests upon a column while his right hand holds a thyrsus; a bunch of grapes is presented over a panther standing to the left at his feet. The magistrate's name and civic ethnic appear in the surrounding legend, identifying the issuing authority. The composition reflects standard Dionysiac iconography common to Asia Minor provincial bronzes of the Severan period. |
