| Beschrijving keerzijde | A tetrastyle temple with four columns is depicted in frontal elevation, enclosing the standing figure of Artemis Anaïtis facing the viewer, veiled and fully draped in long robes, her arms positioned in a hieratic pose consistent with cult-statue representations of this Lydian syncretistic deity. The architectural rendering of the temple pediment and columns is characteristic of civic bronze coinage from Hypaepa, where Artemis Anaïtis was the principal cult divinity. The encircling legend names the magistrate Hierax and identifies the issuing civic community of the Hypaepians. |
