| Reverse description | Zeus Lydios standing left, clad in long chiton and himation, holding a perched eagle in his extended right hand and an upright sceptre in his left. The deity is rendered in the canonical Lydian iconographic tradition, with the eagle — symbol of divine authority — prominently displayed. The Greek magistrate and civic legend is arranged in the field around the figure. The style and composition are consistent with provincial bronze coinage struck at Sala under the local magistrate Alexandros during the Severan period. |
