The portrait displays the characteristic youthful features of Caracalla as Caesar or early Augustus, with a laurel wreath crowning the head. A circular Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the typical dark patina of a circulated provincial bronze. |
