| Beschrijving keerzijde | A Capricorn strides to the right, holding a globe clasped between its fore-hoofs, a type closely associated with the divine favour granted to Augustus and adopted as a dynastic symbol by later emperors. Above the Capricorn, a cornucopia rises prominently into the upper field, symbolising abundance and prosperity. The colonial abbreviation legend is distributed around the periphery of the reverse field, referencing the city of Parium in its capacity as a Roman colonia. The composition is typical of the civic bronze coinage struck by the colony of Parium in the Conventus of Adramyteum during the Severan period. |
