| Obverse description | Draped bust of Plautilla facing right, her hair elaborately styled with a stephane or diadem, rendered in the characteristic provincial manner of the Severan period. The effigy is depicted with visible drapery over the shoulder, consistent with the portraiture of an Augusta. The surrounding legend reads ΠΛΑΥΤΙΛΛΑ ϹΕΒ, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The coin surface displays a rough, granular patina consistent with its bronze composition and age. The portrait, though worn, retains sufficient detail to identify the characteristic Severan-era hairstyle. |
