Obverse description Draped, veiled, and laureate bust of Boule (the personification of the Sacred Council) facing right, rendered in the typical provincial civic style of the mid-third century AD. The veil covers the head and falls over the shoulders, symbolizing the ritual dignity of the council. The legend ΙΕΡΑ ΒΟΥΛΗ appears in the field, identifying the depicted personification. The flan is irregular and the surfaces are heavily patinated, partially obscuring fine detail.
