Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Philip II facing right, rendered in three-quarter front view. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic portrait style as employed on provincial coinage of this era, with visible drapery folds over the shoulder and cuirass detailing beneath. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, reading ΑΥΤ Μ ΙΟΥ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The die work is typical of the Epirote provincial mint at Nicopolis, with slightly irregular flan edges characteristic of hand-struck production.
