| Obverse description | Youthful laureate and draped bust of the Demos facing right, depicted with idealised features and curly hair consistent with the personification of the civic populace. The legend ΔΗΜΟϹ appears in the right field, identifying the civic entity. The bust is rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Carian civic coinage of the Antonine period, with drapery visible at the truncation. |

| Reverse description | The river-god Morsynos reclines to the left in the conventional posture of ancient personified watercourses, his semi-nude figure supported on a large water-urn from which water flows. He holds a reed in his right hand and a cornucopia in his left, symbols of the river's fertility and abundance. The encircling legend ΑΦΡΟΔΕΙϹΙΕΩΝ ΜΟΡϹΥΝΟϹ identifies both the issuing city of Aphrodisias and the depicted deity. The overall composition reflects the standard iconographic formula for river-god types on provincial bronzes of the Roman Imperial period. |
