| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with paludamentum (military cloak) draped over the left shoulder. The portrait displays the characteristic beard of Hadrian, rendered in the provincial style typical of Pergamene civic coinage. The circular Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The die work reflects the competent craftsmanship of the Pergamum mint during the early Hadrianic period. |
