| Opschrift voorzijde | ΑΥ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕ (Translation: Emperor Caesar Trajan Hadrian Augustus) |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | The river god Kaystros (Caystros) reclines to the left in the classical personification typical of provincial coinage, his semi-draped figure supported on his left arm resting upon an overturned vase from which water flows freely, symbolising the river's source. In his extended right hand he holds a branch, while his left hand grasps a cornucopia, emblems of fertility and abundance associated with the river valley near Ephesus. The reverse legend appears in the field and exergue in Greek, identifying the issuing city and the river deity. |
