附加信息	Nicaea was among the most prolific provincial minting cities of the third century, competing openly with neighboring Nicomedia for civic prestige — a rivalry expressed partly through coin output. Under Gordian III the city struck heavily, and bronzes of this type circulated alongside official Roman issues throughout Bithynia without any formal exchange mechanism governing the two systems. The reference VII.2#1927 places this within the Recueil général des monnaies grecques d'Asie Mineure corpus, the standard classification for Bithynian civic bronzes.
