She extends a patera in her right hand over a small altar visible at her side, and holds a cornucopia in her left arm, symbolising civic harmony and abundance. The legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is inscribed in the field around the figure, identifying the issuing city of Nicaea. The composition is typical of Bithynian civic bronze coinage under Gordian III, with the reverse type referencing the city's role as a centre of regional concord. |
