In his outstretched right hand he holds a cantharus, the wine-cup emblematic of his divine domain, while his left hand grasps a long thyrsus, the fennel-staff wreathed with ivy that is his canonical attribute. The ethnic legend ΜΑΓΝΗΤΩΝ curves around the field, affirming the civic identity of the issuing mint. |
