| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, depicted from the rear in three-quarter view, conveying a sense of imperial authority and martial character. The Greek legend encircles the effigy along the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his full titulature.
