| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, depicted from the front with military paludamentum visible over the cuirass. The obverse legend in Greek characters runs around the periphery of the flan. The portrait follows the provincial die-cutting tradition of the Smyrnaean mint during the sole reign, with relatively high relief for the bust against a flat field. The coin's heavily patinated surface obscures fine detail but the imperial effigy remains identifiable. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Amazon Smyrna, the eponymous founder-heroine of the city, stands facing left in a composition typical of Smyrnaean civic coinage of the third century. She holds a patera in one hand and a double axe (bipennis) in the other, with a pelta (Amazon's crescent shield) and chlamys also associated with her figure; a prow appears at her feet, referencing the city's maritime prominence. The reverse legend, distributed across the field and exergue, names the city's triple neocorate status and the presiding strategos. The style is characteristic of the provincial bronze coinage struck at Smyrna under the Gallienae sole reign. |
