| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, depicted with a long beard characteristic of his later portraiture, the laurel wreath rendered in typical provincial style. The imperial effigy occupies the central field with the circumferential Greek legend distributed around the periphery. The portrait reflects the mature iconography of Commodus adopted during his sole reign, consistent with provincial coinage of the Lydian conventus. |
