Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Claudius facing left, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Claudius with a wreath of laurel encircling the head. The surrounding legend in Greek reads ΤΙ ΚΛΑΥΔΙΟΥ ΚΑΙΣΑΡΟΣ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΥ, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits a patina of dark green and brown consistent with prolonged burial, with the portrait remaining identifiable despite surface wear.
