The Greek imperial legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible through the wear. The portraiture reflects the official Severan dynastic imagery, presenting both the reigning emperor and his mother as co-legitimising figures of the ruling house. |

| Description du revers | Heracles standing facing left in the field, rendered in the heroic nude tradition of Hellenistic coinage. The deity holds a patera in his extended right hand, while his left arm rests upon his characteristic club set upright on the ground, and the Nemean lion's skin is draped over his left forearm. The encircling Greek legend names the local magistrate Charidemos and the issuing city of Smyrna, following the standard formulaic practice of provincial civic bronzes of the Severan period. |
