| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and drawn back in the characteristic Severan fashion. The empress is depicted with finely rendered drapery over the shoulder and chest. A partial Greek legend appears in the field, though heavily worn. The portrait style is consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period issued under the authority of Bargylia in Caria. |
