Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style with characteristic broad facial features. The emperor's effigy displays a laurel wreath upon his head and drapery visible at the shoulder. A Greek imperial titulature legend encircles the bust within the field. The die work is typical of the Alexandrian mint, with robust if somewhat coarse engraving characteristic of Egyptian provincial bronze coinage of the mid-second century AD.
