| Obverse description | Youthful draped bust of the personified Roman Senate facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Lydian civic coinage under Antoninus Pius. The effigy displays idealized, slightly laureate features with drapery visible at the shoulder. The legend encircles the bust in the field, identifying the type as the Sacred Senate. Surface patination and die wear are consistent with hammered bronze fabric of the mid-second century AD. |
