Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina I facing right, her elaborately coiffed hair arranged in waves and drawn up at the crown in the characteristic Antonine style. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek tradition, with the drapery indicated across the truncation of the shoulder. The encircling legend ΦΑΥϹΤΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ runs around the periphery of the field, identifying the empress as Augusta.
