| 背面描述 | Nike, the winged goddess of victory, stands facing left in the field, her wings spread behind her. She is depicted in the act of inscribing upon a shield that rests on her right knee, a well-known iconographic type referencing Roman military triumph. The Greek legend in the field reads L ΙΔ, denoting regnal year 14 of Agrippa II (73/74 CE), alongside ΒΑϹΙ / ΑΓ-ΡΙΠΟ/Υ, abbreviating the title and name of King Agrippa. The composition is characteristic of the civic bronze coinage struck at Tiberias under the authority of the Herodian client king. |

Tiberias struck coins under the authority of the Herodian client kings, and this issue — dated to year 14 of Agrippa II's reign — falls squarely in the aftermath of the First Jewish-Roman War. The city had surrendered to Vespasian without a siege in 67 AD, a pragmatic capitulation that allowed its mint to keep operating while Jerusalem burned. Agrippa II, who had sided with Rome throughout the revolt, retained his titular authority over Tiberias as a reward for that loyalty.
The regnal year dating follows Agrippa's Caesarean era, likely beginning from around 61 AD.
