Obverse description Laureate bust of Domitian as Caesar facing right, with light drapery visible on the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Pontic colonial coinage, with the laureate wreath clearly delineated around the head. The encircling Latin legend reads DOMITIANVS CAESAR AVGVSTI FIL, identifying him as son of Augustus Vespasian. The effigy occupies the central field of the flan, with the legend distributed around the periphery.
