| Beschrijving keerzijde | A large upright pine cone occupies the central field, its overlapping scales rendered in fine detail consistent with Pisidian civic iconography. Above the pine cone, a crescent and a star appear in the upper field, serving as celestial symbols frequently employed on coinage of Sagalassus. To the left of the pine cone, the city ethnic legend ϹΑΓΑΛΑϹϹΕΩΝ is inscribed vertically, while the letter Β appears to the right of the cone, likely denoting a denominational mark or magistrate's initial. The overall composition is typical of the civic bronze coinage struck at Sagalassus during the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus. |
