| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Valerian II facing right, presented as seen from the front, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Carian civic coinage of the mid-third century. A Greek circular legend surrounds the portrait in the field, reading ΕΠΙΦ ΚΑΙ ΠΟΛ ΚΟΡ ΟΥΑΛΕΡΙΑΝΟϹ, identifying the emperor by his titles and name.
