| Reverse description | Complex mythological scene centred on a tripod, the sacred symbol of Apollo. To the right of the tripod, a semi-nude Apollo is depicted seated left, holding arrows; to the left, the priest Krinis is shown seated right. Between them stands the bearded herdsman Ordres, facing the viewer with head turned right and holding a pedum (shepherd's crook). At the feet of the composition appears the forepart of a hound, and at the far right a partial eagle may be discerned. The colonial legend is distributed in the field. |
